Day
01 -
Delhi
Your journey of life time starts when you board on the luxury train,
Palace-on-Wheels in the midst of the warm traditional welcome at Delhi
Cantonment station. Shortly after that you will depart for Jaipur.
Day 02 -
Jaipur
The first halt of the Palace - on - Wheels is Jaipur, the capital city of
one of India's most colorful and vibrant state, Rajasthan. Widely known as
the 'Pink City', Jaipur's main tourist places are Hawa Mahal or the Palace
of Winds, Amber Fort, City Palace, Jantar Mantar and various other monuments
from medieval times. In between you will have your lunch in City Palace
Hotel. After sight seeing the luxury coaches will take you back to
Palace-on-Wheels around 6.30 PM. You will be served dinner on Board.
Day 03 -
Jaisalmer
When you reach Jaisalmer you will get a feeling of Arabian nights. Golden
Jaisalmer Fort is known today as one of Rajasthan's best-loved tourist
destinations. Unfriendly, wilderness, forbidding terrain, create a magical
aura of medieval town.
Day 04 -
Jodhpur
Your fourth day journey will take you to Jodhpur, which is famous for its
rock-solid Mehrangarh Fort built in mid 15th century by Rao Jodha. Grand
palaces like Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal, forts, temples and
havelis are the main attractions of Jodhpur. The Umaid Bhawan Palace Hotel
is itself a testimony to the regal splendor of this city
Day 05 -
Sawai Madhopur - Ranthambore -
Chittaurgarh
Next morning the Palace-on-Wheels will take you to Sawai Madhopur. It is
home to the Ranthambore National Park, which is famous for its Indian
tigers. This park is also residence of 300 species of birds and hyena,
ratel, jackal, fox and many more. There are Lake Palace, chhatris, old
fortifications and a majestic 1,000-year-old fort Jogi Mahal which you will
be visiting during your tour. The name Chittaurgarh derived from the ritual
'jauhar' that has been done by the women of that city to avoid disgrace.
Day 06 -
Udaipur
After Chittaurgarh, your next stop will be the very pretty and most
romantic city of Rajasthan, Udaipur. Best known as the city of lakes, this
city is situated around the shimmering clear blue water lakes. Several
beautiful palaces like Lake Palace, Jag Mandir etc. will surely hypnotize
you by their stunning beauty. You can also enjoy miniature paintings for
which Udaipur is so famous.
Day
07 -
Agra - Bharatpur
Wake up in the city of love, Agra. Agra is a place famous for Taj Mahal,
which is also consider as the synonymous love to the worldwide lovers. After
visiting Taj Mahal Palace-on-wheels will take you to Bharatpur, which is a
famous bird sanctuary. Egrets, Siberian cranes, migratory water Fowl and
other wide species of birds can be seen here.
Day 08 -
Delhi
After breakfast, a week of your dream ride will come to an end. After
experiencing seven glorious days of a bygone era now it's time to return to
the present and proceed for onward journey or to take a flight back home.
